We will begin Day 1 by exploring the structure of The Queen's Path. Stacey will discuss the horizon, the worlds, and where your character falls on the Divide. In the afternoon we will explore the first quadrant, working through your version of the critical story beats that set the tone for your narrative. The afternoon will include break out groups where you can work in small groups. There will be an "In Conversation" session with a celebrated screenwriter (we will announce very soon!) We will finish the day with book signings and networking in the Voco bar.

In the morning on Day 2 Stacey will dive deeply into the second, third, and fourth quadrants, including the coveted moments of embodiment and sovereignty. In the afternoon, break out groups will have the chance to hash out their own journeys through the challenges of the second and third quadrants, ultimately ending in sovereignty in the fourth quadrant. We will enjoy another "in Conversation" session with a celebrated screenwriter (to be announced) and finish up with a sovereignty practice that can guide you in both life and your own writing!
Getting yourself or your character to sovereignty is the key to The Queen's Path. Not every woman character gets to enjoy sovereignty in her story. Throughout the weekend we will examine examples from mythology, sacred literature, films and television to demonstrate the patterns of TQP.
For too long, women's narratives have been shoe-horned into the Hero's Journey (or sometimes the Heroine's Journey). These story models, used in everything from big budget films to psychotherapy narratives, have cut the most critical aspects from women's stories. The Queen's Path isn't a feminist narrative. It isn't a trad-wife narrative. The discovery of the Queen's Path reveals a monomythic structure for women's stories, and elevates every woman's biography. We believe that a new wave in narrative is being born, and it will begin here in Glasgow this summer. Come walk The Queen's Path, and free your story once and for all.

Whether in the books you read, the movies you watch, or the stories you tell yourself about your own life, matching your life experience to a new archetypal pattern frees your story, and the story of every woman you know.
The Queen's Path Workshop will give you the tools to map out your own Queen's Path. Whether you are trying to make sense of your own life, the life of someone historic, or a character you've been working with for years, the workshop will give you the tools to create the most powerful narrative possible.
You will meet celebrated women writers, directors, producers, and community leaders. Armed with our collective stories we can create and foster powerful communities for women creatives and activists.
The inaugural Queen's Path Scotland workshop will be held at the beautiful Grand Central Voco Hotel in Glasgow.
Each day, doors will open at 9:30AM. The workshop will begin promptly at 10AM and end at 4PM, with an hour at the end of the day for networking and connection until 5PM.
